Other names

Owners, and a few others, fall outside any of the categories customer, vendor, or employees, and are recorded in the list of Other Names.   These names are excluded from invoices, bills, related sales or purchase documents, or paychecks.  When files are converted from the DOS versions, if any names on checks are not identifiable as vendors, employees, or customers, the payees will be added as Other names.

“Other” names  XE "other names"  XE "names:other" can be converted to customer, vendor, or employee, but names of those types cannot be converted to a different type.  The name can be edited in the same manner as a customer name, and the type selected then.
