Is it a balance sheet?

That is not how the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) sees it. It is a statement of financial position XE "statement of financial position" .  The Profit and Loss report displays the financial movement between two financial positions, but it is not called a statement of financial movement. The FASB calls it an income statement XE "income statement" .
